My goal is to:

“Finally, I came to realize that
what I was most passionate about was freedom —
freedom to do what I want, when I want, where I want.”
- Mark Minervini
Social media makes financial freedom look like a single decision at a single point in time. One and done.
You might read lovely soundbites on Facebook or Instagram like: “one day, I woke up and had enough” or “I decided to get out of debt / stop using credit cards” or “that was the day I decided to stop being broke / become financially free”.
In my experience, this is a fairytale… the children’s version of the truth.
The decision to be financially free can be made in a moment, yes, but it is by no means momentary.
If you choose to become financially free, please understand:
To succeed, you will decide again and again. You will constantly have to remind yourself why you started, why you are working, where you are going, and how important it is for you to arrive at your destination.
“Winning has no loyalty to any of us”
- Tim Grover
Obstacles will come. Barriers will rise.
Doors you never knew existed will show themselves - locked.
Windows will open - to the sky and to the ground.
You will hear ‘No’ when you really need a ‘Yes’.
You will fall short - and still have to stand tall anyway.
Safety nets will prove how unsafe they are.
Illusions will shatter before you can catch them from falling.
Perfectly loving friends and family will give you perfectly reasonable advice that they have never applied to their own lives, or that has kept them broke.
Through all of this, you will need to constantly commit to financial freedom. The journey to wealth is long and winding. You must choose it - again and again. You may actually be surprised at how often you have to commit. I am convinced that situations will happen that will force you to choose. You will question yourself - constantly. You may work harder than you ever imagined.
“How young can you die from old age?
They always tell me: "nobody's working as hard as you"
And even though I laugh it off,
Man, it's probably true”
- Drake
Sometimes, the choice will be easy. Sometimes, it may be the hardest thing you have ever done. Still, somewhere in the tunnel of your doubts, tiredness, uncertainty, and frustration, you will need to choose - again - to be financially free.
“Set your life on fire.
Become the sky.
Take an axe to the prison wall.
Escape.”
- Rumi
You will need to choose.
Freedom over Comfort.
Freedom over Opinions.
Freedom over Expectations.
Freedom over Safety.
Freedom over Rest.
Freedom over Love…
“And you?
When will you begin
that long journey
into yourself?”
- Rumi
When I made this choice, I started to appreciate why most people don’t bother to become financially free.
Here’s the truth.
Freedom is Hard.
Freedom is Expensive.
Freedom may cost you the things that you never thought you could pay with.
Time. Energy. Attention. Health. Relationships. Dreams.
And the problem is, you only know what it truly costs after you have paid it.
“Money often costs too much”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
